EVENTS & THEMATIC BRANDING



The Client
The DFL Deutsche Fußball Liga are responsible for the organisation and marketing of German professional football since 2000, including 612 matches in the Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 seasons. With the Bundesliga, they own one of the most valuable brands in Germany and one of the world's most important football leagues.

The Challenge
Our assignment was to create the visual identity that would kick off 2024 for the DFL and make the diverse adaptations for the Upfront event, ranging from the digital invitation and animations to key art for backdrops and signage to be used at the venue.

The Flopicco Approach
Following the guidelines of Photo Keyvisual 2022 (also designed by our studio), we decided to focus our morphological approach on the basic element of soccer: the ball, and based on its honeycomb texture we represented the teamwork that is key to this sport. In the composition of these elements we created a universe in which all the elements of the DFL are represented: clubs, players and fans.

La DFL Deutsche Fußball Liga es responsable de la organización y comercialización del fútbol profesional alemán desde el año 2000, incluyendo 612 partidos de las temporadas Bundesliga y Bundesliga 2. Con la Bundesliga, poseen una de las marcas más valiosas de Alemania y una de las ligas de fútbol más importantes del mundo.

El reto
Nuestro objetivo era crear la identidad visual que le daría inicio al año 2024 para la DFL y hacer las diversas adaptaciones para el evento de Upfront, desde la invitación digital y las animaciones hasta los keyarts para backdrops y señalética a ser usada en el recinto.

El enfoque Flopicco
Siguiendo las directrices del Photo Keyvisual 2022 (también diseñado por nuestro estudio), decidimos centrar nuestra aproximación morfológica en el elemento básico del fútbol: la pelota, y con su estructura en panal representamos el trabajo en equipo que es tan clave en el fútbol. En la composición de estos elementos creamos un universo en el que están reflejados todos los elementos de la DFL: clubes, jugadores y fans.

Flopicco Studio studied the identity usage of National Geographic's logo in all kinds of apparel items and their labels to then create a complete set of guidelines. This rules were compiled in a manual that anyone all over the world can consult to find out all the authorised uses of the National Geographic logo.
